Africa Climate Summit

Africa Climate Summit, Nairobi, Kenya: Register with Miklah for Attending the Summit!

Miklah Life is officially partnering with many other youth organizations in Kenya, including GMEICYNESA, and others, to mobilize youth for Africa Climate Summit that will take place on 4th to 6th September in Nairobi, Kenya.

Africa Climate Summit is for Africa Youth too

Before the summit, youth will have more time for themselves during the Africa Climate Summit Youth Assembly, which will occur on 1st to 3rd September 2023. All this will happen in or alongside what UNFCCC refers to as the Africa Climate Week (ACW), 4th to 8th September 2023, Nairobi.

Africa Climate Summit: Register

Climate action & economic development are one!

The purpose of this registration is to capture brief details of Ugandan youth (18-35 years) who would like to be part of the summit and together find means of supporting them to be there. Miklah Life is an official partner of the summit and is responsible for mobilizing and enabling Ugandan youth to be part of this summit. We are targeting 50-100 youth from Uganda.

Africa Climate Summit: Miklah Partners with Opportunity Tracker UG

In order to be effective at this, #MiklahLife is also partnering with Opportunity Tracker UG, an initiative by Jonah Kirabo (https://twitter.com/jonahkirabo), which focuses on sharing various funding opportunities for African youth.

Opportunity Tracker will assist Miklah Life in this mobilization by promoting the campaign and working on some of the campaign materials and graphics. We are really excited about this partnership. If any other organization would like to partner with us on these efforts, please, email us at miklahlife@gmail.com

As of now, there is no clear source of funding or any other logistical support for Ugandan youth participation. However, once we are together and clear about who is ready, it is easier to mobile for the required logistical resources and enable as many youth as possible. #MiklahLife is in talks with some embassies and other organizations for this to happen.

Capital for climate action

So, are you a youth interested in climate and general sustainability action? Are you a climate activist, an environmental professional, green entrepreneur, or climate action enthusiast? Register with us, and together we will find ways and means of being part of the summit. Register by filling this form and we will inform you of the next steps. Thank you.

And once we are together under #MiklahLife, we will navigate these issues, including final and formal registration for the summit together. Thank you.

Registration Deadline: 9th July 2023

Affordable, targeted, & increased climate financing

NB: Registering with Miklah Life right now isn’t a 100% guarantee that one will attend the summit. However, it is one step closer to realizing this goal. Once we are together, we can easily mobilize for the resources we need, request for the support from the official organizers of the summit, and figure out a way to be there in a style! So, yeah, go ahead and fill the form.

Wait! Is there a mobilizer for youth in your country? You could be the one! Contact the summit administration on their website here: https://africaclimatesummit.org/.

Thank you.

I want to be one of your partner and beneficiary of grants in supporting and fighting climate change engagement. I work with different farming communities in Teso and West Nile region. Therefore sustainable farming is key to support mostly the small holder farmers and this as challenges through climate change needs more solutions to support production and productivity for improved livelihoods. For more information I will be waiting to here from you very soon.
