Exploiting sinners’ situations for self gains

When we deny someone a right or privilege because he seems unworthy or looks to be evil or sinful, we are not helping the person become better or even fighting on God’s side but simply exploiting the situation. If we push a homosexual out of a line, deny justice a prostitute beaten up last night from a bar, and curse a boy rotting in prison because he stole pajamas, we are not making our world a better place nor are we even fighting for God or ourselves.
Many times, prostitutes have been beaten and cheated and cannot report anywhere, drunkards have found no grace in the eyes of a health worker or even a Christian and we deceive ourselves, “Let them suffer, they deserve it”
Actually, leaving them with their struggles is, in some situations, okay (after all we cannot waste the whole of our lives trying to help people who don’t want to help themselves), but how about exploiting their evilness and unworthiness for our selfish reasons? Imagine an individual who pays little to a defenseless child. Look at a Christian who denies a homosexual the right to treatment or some kind of privilege in public affair. And think of this man who beat up a woman this morning and left her bleeding because she was a prostitute and cannot report anywhere (after all she is damaged goods).
There are many examples in which we as Christians have mistreated others in the name of taking them to be unworthy or wrongdoers. Yes, we think we are fighting for God or simply have no case to answer since those other people are already sinners, but that is a lie. There is a story in Israel of countries that took advantage of Israel’s sin and God’s punishment of His people and started making fun of God’s people and looting their property, what God did to them is unbelievable: He punished them for taking advantage of Israel sinning.
What is the point? I am one of those who preach the concept of loving ourselves before we love others. Yes, we cannot spend our life helping people who do not want to help themselves. However, stealing, mistreating, denying justice or any other service and privilege to those we tend to call unworthy (the homosexuals, the prostitutes, drunkards, and thieves or any other wrong doer) is not fighting for God or even trying to make our world a better place but exploitation the weak for our selfish reasons and believe me, God will not reward that. In the best case, I suggest letting everyone be and I also find my way.
