“With increased power comes increased responsibility”

I watched a movie the other night, it was called, SPIDERMAN. The most important thing I learned is; “with great power, comes great responsibility”. Yes, how I pray even today that I may be that person to understand my power, my authority, what I can be able to do and use it responsibly for! The other day, I saw how a boss at the office was tossing away people who needed his help; his signature. And as he kept on arguing with them, I somehow sensed that he had insecurity issues. Instead of realizing that he was powerful and people were seeking his approval to go through, he insisted on them that they were undermining him for having considered his help.

How many times have we used our promotion to hurt and drown people instead of pulling them up? Some of us are praying that God can make us strong so we pay back those who hurt us. Yes, it is not once or twice finding me having the same prayer. But today, we are being reminded that when God blesses us with power, greatness and authority, he is giving us the chance and opportunity to help people, to pull those who are down, to promote those who are under looked and take care of our world.
Yes, in the movie that I watched; after that boy got blessed with Spiderman powers and abilities, he used it to defend the city; to save those dying; to bring hope to the hopeless. And believe me, as we have always cited, we do not lose our greatness by showing humility and humbly lifting others, but we build our greatness instead. We do not lose when we use our powers, offices, education, and gifts and talents to lift others, we instead build ourselves an everlasting legacy in the hearts of men and women and most importantly, in the heart of God.
Ask this question again; are you using your power, office, managerial post, In-charge duty to help those who are down, save those who are being mistreated or you are using your power to send people to hell, to prisons, to poverty, to agony and misery? What comes to your mind when people are unhappy because of your actions? There is this guy who has thousands of staffs complaining about how he treats them. Sometimes, I wonder if he ever sleeps! I do not know how it is for you, but it is so painful to know a number of children are dying somewhere, a number of ladies and gentlemen are jobless simply because you used your power to drown them, and not because you accidentally made wrong decisions, but because your whole aim and goal is to use your power to step on everyone!
What is the point today? Yes, every means, position, authority and power we have has been entrusted to us to help others as we help ourselves. In case you get promoted at your job, it is the right to help others and promote them too and not the time to become harsh to them. Yes, there is one King that did that cruelty when he became King after his father and all he is ever known for is that he caused the division of Israel kingdom into North and South. Let us never be him, but use our positions to bless others.
Once again, with greater power, comes greater responsibility. Help me God.
God bless you
If you have not yet received Christ Jesus as your personal Savior to help you in this crazy life and build you up for even the next eternal life, today is your day dear brother and sister. Repeat this prayer after me, “Lord Jesus, I am so much happy to meet you today. I have suffered and struggled to live for myself alone, but I am tired and I have sinned a lot along this way. I kindly ask you to take me in today and make me your holy child. Yes, I want to be there for your service Lord from today onwards. Save me and make me find true living in you alone. Thanks Jesus. Amen”. If you have finished praying, we believe you are now saved and Jesus will never abandon you. Find a good church near you and be part of their congregation.
