Vicent & Winnie Nemeyimana Marriage

Vicent & Winnie: 10 Years Together – Marriage is Easy!

Today is I and Winnie Nemeyimana‘s #MarriageAnniversary (not #WeddingAnniversary, for the wedding is nothing if people aren’t married in the first place, lol). Anyway, I would like to briefly share with you what we just shared in the morning! Wait! One thing I commend myself for is ‘I TOOK IN A VERY BEAUTIFUL WOMAN’. For that, I feel sweet! And I mean #PhysicalBeauty!

What was she whispering?

When we woke up to each other’s faces this morning, we couldn’t believe 10 years were just done! What! Colleagues, this thing called #Marriage is simple, more simple than you were told! So I faced her, hugged her, and screamed, ‘Honey, congratulations. 10 years down the road together, and we haven’t ‘killed’ each other, right?’. She just laughed, and we both screamed, ‘This thing is easy’! Seriously, I can’t imagine life without this thing, without Winnie. Thank you, God.

10-years marriege, 8-years wedding anniversary

Okay, colleagues, I have shared our #LoveStory a thousand times on my blog, #MiklahBlog, right? However, I want to re-visit the story and re-insist that marriage or finding love isn’t as hard as the world shows it to be; you just have to be in love. And this thing called Marriage shouldn’t be work in our lives, but life itself! You don’t have to think, plan, create, and secure resources for running a marriage; just live it. It is not part of life; it’s life. As such, as long as you live, it lives on, with you.

In this marriage, Winnie is the ‘King’!

On our wedding day, I tried lifting her in my arms!

Back to our story, Winnie is an amazing, beautiful, hardworking, and easy-to-love woman. She is an angel sent from heaven to help me. I have grown up with her. She has seen all days with me; terrible poor days when we didn’t have what to eat or 1k for boda and we walked distances on foot, in the sunshine, in the rain, looking for jobs, or doing some silly ones, failing to pay rent or electricity bills! I remember when buying a soda or meat was a big celebration! And yet we happily lived through, to this day. Winnie, thank you. Thank God.

Bad days, temptations, lust, the world, and every evil are still here with us, and I pray we will get through, by God’s grace.

God has now blessed us with a lot; friends, children, work, purpose, and an opportunity to be part of his children. There is more to cover. The journey is still long. The future is unknown and scary. 10 years is just the beginning. But if we can do this together, we will probably do the rest together. As we celebrate our #Marriage, #Winnie, allow me to say, you are the most beautiful thing that ever happened to me.

I thank God every day for showing me the way to you. Just like the other song, God blessed the broken road that led me straight to you. All the life challenges and opportunities we both had predetermined us to just be together. And I thank God for that, every day. Thank you, my love.

Our marriage is a product of God’s predetermined ways, including broken roads!

To colleagues, again, this thing is really easy, easier than they told you! You just have to live it, not for it! Come on! #HappyAnniversay, #10YearsOfLove, #Winnie #Nemeye. To God be the Glory.
