What do you do when none is seeing you? That is the True YOU

It is not your sin alone, you are not the only pretender, your sin is shared by us all, but that does not make you right. We have grown up in societies, schools, even in churches code of conduct and we all try to mold ourselves into the most pleasing creature there can be. Yeah, some try hard and others do not try hard but everyone even the most careless individual behaves differently when he is alone.

I have met many friends, the holy ones, the priests, the nons and sisters, the preachers, faithful men and women, and i have always know this truth: What i have always seen in them may not necessarily be who they entirely are. Do you know why pastors have been reported raping women in prayer rooms? Do you know why some of the ‘orphans’ out here belong to great priests? Do you know what could be causing the great divorce and cheating among married couples? Do you know why you are unhappy yet a complete christian? By the way, what did Jesus mean when he said, ” blessed are the poor?”

You see, we may pretend to others but who we really are is what we think about, say or even do we are alone, when no one is seeing. Those dreams you have at night, what your conscience says that you miss is what you exactly miss not what you said in the church. I think Jesus meant that if you realise and confess that you need that which you have hidden from us all, you are blessed. If you confess that you need a man, instead of pretending and start prostitution at night, you are blessed. If you agree that you need a woman, instead of pretending to be a priest and cheat on your vows, you are blessed. If you do not pretend that you do not understand God’s word and read and such him more, you are blessed. If you confess that you are poor, you are blessed.

So what has happened? Most of us are living behind the masks. I do not need human love, Jesus is enough for me, i hear girls say. I do not need help and protection, i can defend myself. I am interested in serving the lord only, i do not need a woman or a woman, nons and sisters swear, and you have turned salvation into a house of slavery and chains by not speaking exactly who you are and allowing God work on it all. So here is a simple test for us all: What exactly do you do, say, think or even yearn for when none is seeing you, when you are alone or are in dark? That is the real YOU, that is the real ME. And unless we confess who we really are, then i am worried we won’t find the complete life we yearn for.

This is the way to know what you are: Listen to your heart’s desires, the deeper forces of conscience that drives you and admit it all. No, stop listening to what i have written, close your eyes and listen to yourself. What is it that you yearn for, what are your desires? What do you really miss? Are you sure you can be without getting married? Or you want to continue sleeping anywhere like a pig? Are you sure you are not interested in money or you are just targeting the opportunity? Are you sure the life you live is the true you or you are forging a smile? What is the true you? Bring that to God and nothing is impossible with him.
