A BUSSINESS TIP: Short term goals are fathers of long term goals, respect them.

Everyone will tell you to dream big (no,i mean everyone of positive people),to have long term goals and focus on everlasting benefits. Go to the church, they will preach your satisfaction only in spiritual issues and it will only work when you were there, eyes closed and when you step out of the church, staggering begins.

The answer to that misery is simple:they don’t give you the basis where to construct your everlasting goal or hope. How do you expect a christian who is in a leaking hut in Katanga, who eats a meal once a week, has a phone that can only receive two calls and around Kampala only and yet with two crying children to remain strong and inspired spiritually?

How do we expect the young generation to grow up some core businesses when they are currently having no food, where to sleep or even money for MBS to network on Facebook? The first time you try to mentor these youth, take notice of these daily challenges before you deceive them that they will be millionaires soon.

Long term goals like finishing up a course in makerere, marrying a beautiful woman you love, opening up a hardware shop in Kisoro or here in Bwaise and others can only come true if we met our short term goals like our daily meals, the first job as a cleaner, daily transport and airtime and our daily studies as students. And if we as the mentors or educators provide or at least tell where to find these short term achievements, how do we convince people on achieving long term goals?

What is my argument today?Ortega Ian was one day asked on Power fm if he thought he was successful. His answer was yes and his reason was based on how he understood success. He said that success is simply those small daily goals you achieve and thus it keeps dynamic. And i agree with him. Your success is making your you get your daily meals, be able to go to work,be able to call her,or even find where to sleep and these form the basis of your long term goals.

So go for them(i mean for the short term aims). Make sure you get your meal today, try to call her and say you love her, look for your first job and they should pay you whatever you work for, write your first paragraph of the book you dream to write, open up the facebook account today,go to school and do those small tests and assignments. That s the basis for your great future. And the next time your mentor says,”i want you to build a mansion”,humbly reply,”i didn’t get my supper sir,any help please?” and if he doesn’t give it to you or tell you how or where to get it,never listen to his nonsense again.

GOD BLESS YOU
