A job for human activists and lawyers: `VIP words should be erased`-Nemvicx
You see, we have used the above words, “Very Important Person” very often but now i feel they are the greatest crime we have ever committed to humanity. Every person whether rich or poor, tall or short, educated or non-educated, young or old is very important in front of others and in front of God. It is very corrupting to call some people as important because their social class is high or their education level is higher. A person who is constantly referred to as the very important one will always carry that picture in his mind and will unconsciously find himself undermining the lives of others. Also, a person who has never been called a VIP will automatically and gradually lose self-esteem or self-value which is very detrimental to good living.
The words `very important` are general words that fairly should apply to every individual. I agree and acknowledge that we really belong to different social, professional or economic classes but i think other words should be used to bring about these differences than the VIP words. Words like high class, The bosses, the big size, the professionals or any other non-general English words should be employed. Calling some people very important automatically refers to others as not important and this is a a grave sin against humanity or human dignity.
I appeal to lawyers, human rights activists, language authors and all those concerned to look into my argument with concern and respond or explain in time. If i have written about this, it is because i feel it is unfair to call some people important and others as none-important. Now, imagine how many feel the same way but have not yet expressed themselves or gotten a chance to write. I am sorry to say this, but it seems Africa is too lazy to even understand the toxicity in the words that the west sell to us. These VIP words are very wrong and shame upon the country of the origin.
I am a very important person and you are a very important person and this has nothing to do with our social or economic statuses. The day we shall realize that everyone is important is the day we shall resume peace and love for everyone and fair sharing of services. I have communicated, my part is done.
