Do not be bothered by your past, I mean your bad past, it does not matter now. I know it is possible that every time you think about how awful the past was or how you were, you shudder, but I would love you to know that we all have those skeletons and yet we move on by God’s grace.
It does noyt matter how sinful you were. It does not matter how many opportunities you wasted. It does not matter how hurtful it was. And it does not matter how many times you tried in vain, today is a new day and a new opportunity and it is here for you, yes, for us.
Where do you wanna draw your lessons? The great leaders of our world have ever been like you. Great people in the Bible times were sinful and disobedient even more than us. Yes, and all these people you see around and you admire have had their worst days too. You are not alone. Their victory comes or came only because when a day of their visit came, they gave up on their past, embraced the new chance and grace and moved on into their future, the good days and wonders we remember them for.
When our God forgives us, He does not keep holding us to our past and our long time failures, He gives us a future and counts it on us. You are no exception.
Maybe you have been a prostitute for long. Maybe you have been a failure for long. Maybe you have a dark background and unspeakable actions you scored in your past life. Maybe you have tried all the possibilities in vain, and whenever you think about it all, you cannot embrace the graces of today. And I want to tell you to leave your past for it no longer matters.
When you do great things now. When you change and live your dream and purpose now. When you accept that even one day of good transformation can matter a lot, no one, not even God shall remember or pin you to your past. We shall all sing and glorify what you are now for it is true that goodness and prosperity make us forget the suffering.
Yes, some people will pin you to your past often. Some enemies will love calling you your past names even though you have changed. Some obstacles and challenges will remind you that you are not worthy or even going anywhere just as your past had been, but the power of grace in you shall always make a way for you. And even me I will never look to you basing on your bad past, I will celebrate what you have become for your nothing less or more, but just like me or anyone else.
Once again, leave your past for it no longer matters now and embrace today with all its graces and forgiveness and move into the future. One day, one hour, one minute of incredible change can give you success and paradise beyond measure, ask the robber who had his paradise on his last day when Christ granted him the grace.
