The Marvelous introduction/Giveaway ceremony of Amulen Winfred introducing her man, Nemeyimana Vicent at their home, Bugiri, 24/09/2016

God is good all the time and all the time God is good. No one, not even we, the ceremony owners knew it would happen, at least not in the marvelous and miraculous way it did.

Anyway, following many days of us (I and Winnie) hustling up and down trying to put together all that was needed for the day, we filed up for that beautiful Saturday. Many people; our friends, relatives, parents, brothers and sisters had participated to their level best to make it happen.
On that Saturday morning, we woke up early (of course Winnie was already at her parents’ home where we were to find her), arranged ourselves and the gifts we were to take. All men were to be in kanzu and coat (of course with a trouser under the kanzu), we were smart. All women were to either be in omushana or gomesi type of wear, they were smart too.
At around 8 am, we started off our journey from Kampala to Bugiri (eastern Uganda, after Iganga district) and it took us only 4 hours and we were already in that town. We were received first at a certain place where we had to re-arrange ourselves and make sure we had all we had to have.
From there, we matched off to their home. Before we could enter the real function, we were asked to fist eat, which we did. Oh my God, the food was so so so so amazing. We ate and drank our heads off.
Quickly we were asked by our MC to join the function. On entry, inspection is done on us as we get marked as the baako. Then some kind of money (ezo omusayi) is given in to allow us approach the gates into the real gathering.
When we entered, all I did was sitting behind and relax. Oh, they had organized for us greatly; decorations were good, food was marvelous, all people seated and organized, dancers so amazing, amazing greetings, oh my God, that a party.
When ‘Senga’ picked me up, when the mugole (Winnie) first entered the function, when the giving away of hens to the muko, when it was the time for the rings, oh my God, those moments are still killing me. I remember dancing with Senga and, oh, also when my sisters first picked up the mugole and joined us or brought her to me, so beautiful.
How about the kingly chairs, the time of blessings from the father, the time of dances from Winnie, the gifts time, the singing time (I mean the Kafero man singing for Winnie), it was all fantastic. Kabo ka Muwala and gifts to us as we left home; so decorated and organized. Up to now I yearn for the kabo ka muwala package.
Generally, the party was beyond
us; it was too good and oh so much amazing. Actually, I had never seen such good arrangement and fun, not even in Kampala or on TV.
Anyway, by 8pm, we were done and drove back home. We were home at around 11:30 pm and that was the end of the day. The photos can give more details.
