Career guidance: What do you look at before choosing a career?

People who guide us on what career to take or leave usually base their advice on what is important to them. While it is true that some of us we really do not know what is important for us, it is quite significant to consider a a person’s priorities before we can dictate on which career to take or drop. So the next time you go for career gudance and you want to give one to someone, make sure you have understood the following

1. What exactly do i want in life? This question is very hard to many of us and the truth is that some even die before they can discover exactly what they need or want. Some people at first feel like all they need is money, respect and recognition, knowledge and prestige but when they finally acquire that which they thought they needed, they still find no rest. Actually, we in most cases struggle hard to achieve things and when we do, we realize that they were not worth our search or struggle. This is a disappointment. So be sure of what you want and since we may not know exactly what we want and need, then we can go that counseling regarding what we really need before we even go for the career guidance.

2. Which career will ultimately bring me to what i need? Hey, you cannot be a guy interested in getting money and prestige and then you go for primary teaching courses, nursing courses, and other courses where the money paid is always less than the work done. Actually, if you need money and you are in the above careers, then you need to upgrade and study more in relation to the above courses and this ultimately will take your time. So there are those short courses or channels that will definitely bring you money with little work. For example, contesting for Member of Parliament. Also, if you need respect and recognition, then the science field is your place. Actually, about 20 % of those who go for bachelors in medicine do so in order to be referred to as doctors.

3. Is my career upgradable? You see, there are many careers but are not even wide or do not have a wide area of operations. Such careers bore a lot and diminish your abilities. A good career is that which is never covered. It is that where you will study high and high and never finish. This kind of career gives you great opportunities and areas where you can invest or exercise your own created ideas. For example, most careers in sciences are upgradable and thus offer a variety of opportunities.

4. Is my career in line with my daily life components? You see, it is very dangerous to do a career that you never meet in your daily practice. Actually, this is where passion comes in. If you are pursuing a career that you do not like exercising at your own time, then you better drop it because you will never enjoy it. If your career will tamper with your relationship so much or religious life or any other daily activity which you treasure so much, then you are automatically going to be peace-less as you pursue it.

Finally, it is always important to consider your heart’s desire and what gives it peace than letting money and respect only guide your thoughts and decisions. The truth is that we all need some money and respect and too much thirst for these than any other element in life may be dangerous. God Bless You-Nemvicx. The Complete You Project
