THE 3 LOVES WE NEED: The complete you deserves the complete love.

 

The above is the title of my first book. Many people live love halfway and i think this your time to have love in its fullness. There are 3 kinds of love and each is complete on its own but you may never enjoy fully one unless you have the other.

There is philos (love among ourselves as friends,co-workers or even relatives), agape (love of God for his people and our love for him), and eros (love between two people, man and woman or husband and wife, fiance and fiancee). These 3 loves are all important for the completeness of love and its pleasure within us.

Some Christians may pretend that agape love is all they need, but deep within them there is a natural longing to be enjoyed and loved by someone else other than God. Also, some people may pretend that romance is all they need, but it wouldn’t last if all other friends hated you or God’s hand didn’t protect you.

Stop presence and work for what you need. You need romance, you need God’s love and people’s love. I know many Christians who are bitter and harsh in their services simply because they were disappointed romantically. Also, having no place in the hearts of relatives, coworkers or even your school-mates can be a hindering factor to your enjoyment of agape love.

C.S Lewis, one of our great philosophers and theologian of all times didn’T recognise the power and holiness in Romantic love until Joy Gresham made his wall fall and he fell in the greatest romance. What am i saying today? You need love and love in all its dimensions. You need a woman to love and cherish you and you need a man to love and cherish you. You need God to say, “come closer my beloved child” and you need friends and family to confess how much they admire you. The earlier you accept the above truth, the easier it will be for you to have it all in proper ways.

Don’t say i don’t need romance and then you escape at night to sleep with prostitutes. It is God’s arrangement to enjoy romance as it is His order to enjoy Him(God). It is God’s arrangement to long for love and admiration from friends and families. Love in all its dimensions is God’s creation and He is the one who can give it to us in all its fullness if we only let Him. So love more,enjoy more.

Remember our sin is not our desire for pleasure, our sin is our little desire for complete pleasure. So we waste time on small joy and pleasure, instead, of the great joy and pleasure in Him.
