Terms and Conditions for MIKLAH 5-Year WebCare

1. Overview

MIKLAH 5-Year WebCare is a managed website service provided by MIKLAH Life for a period of five (5) years from the official website launch date. The service includes website design, hosting, domain registration, maintenance, and technical support as outlined in the package details or on the flyer below:

2. Duration

The service is valid for five (5) consecutive years beginning from the date the website’s hosting is purchased from the webhosting company, Hostinger.

3. Scope of Services

The package includes:

  • Standard business website design (Pages: Home, about, contact, services, Blog, and a free bonus of shop or donate pages)
  • Domain registration (standard .com, .org, or similar unless otherwise agreed)
  • Web hosting for five years
  • Website security monitoring
  • Software and plugin updates
  • Regular backups
  • Minor content edits (text changes, image replacements, contact updates)
  • Basic technical support

NB: Both domain and webhosting will be purchased from one of the world’s best webhosting company, HOSTINGER.

4. Definition of Minor Edits

Minor edits include:

  • Text updates
  • Image replacement
  • Contact information changes
  • Small layout adjustments

Major redesigns, new features, e-commerce expansion, new articles and posts, advanced integrations, or structural changes are not included and may attract additional charges.

5. Payment Terms

Total package price and payment plan must be agreed before project commencement.

  • A minimum initial deposit is required before work begins. 500k Ugx is required first.
  • Installment payments must be made as agreed.
  • Failure to complete agreed payments may result in temporary suspension of services.

Full ownership rights transfer only after full payment is completed.

NB: Old clients with websites only 500k for the 5 year hosting. Impressive!

6. Client Responsibilities

The client agrees to:

  • Provide required content (text, images, branding materials) on time
  • Respond to approval requests promptly
  • Use the website lawfully and ethically
  • Not upload illegal, harmful, or copyrighted content without authorization

7. Hosting & Domain Management

  • Hosting and domain services are managed by MIKLAH Life at Hostinger for the duration of the 5-year period.
  • The client retains ownership rights to their domain and website content.
  • Domain upgrades or premium domain purchases beyond standard registration may attract additional costs.

8. Suspension & Termination

Services may be suspended if:

  • Payment installments are defaulted
  • The website is used for illegal or unethical activities
  • The client violates agreed terms

Early termination by the client does not entitle the client to refunds for unused years.

9. Refund Policy

Payments made are non-refundable once website design work has commenced or hosting has been secured.

10. Limitation of Liability

MIKLAH Life shall not be held liable for:

  • Business losses due to downtime caused by third-party hosting providers
  • Force majeure events (natural disasters, internet disruptions, government restrictions)
  • Losses resulting from client-provided inaccurate information

11. After 5 Years

At the end of the five-year period:

  • The client may renew hosting and maintenance services under a new agreement.
  • Renewal pricing will be communicated before the expiry date.

12. Amendments

MIKLAH Life reserves the right to update these terms where necessary. Clients will be notified of significant changes.
