Miklah Volunteers after some knowledge sharing

80 Miklah Volunteers to Take Part in the Entity’s 3rd Cohort of Miklah Volunteers Program!

Miklah Volunteers Program has been around since 2019. With the new cohort included, about 120 volunteers have gone through this program, though a small fraction can actively and physically participate. Most others participate virtually from anywhere across the world.

The third cohort of Miklah Volunteers here at MIKLAH Life shall comprise more than 80 volunteers from 6 countries across the globe. The 6-month program is meant to expose fresh graduates to the world of entrepreneurship and employment in the sustainability space.

Volunteers will work both online and in-person for a total of 9 hours per week and will accomplish various tasks in different Miklah Working Groups, including representing #MiklahLife in international and national conferences and forums.

Last year, our volunteer, #NakatoJovia represented #MiklahLife in various national forums and two international events, one in Kenya and the other in Rome, Italy. In Italy, she even won UNDP and Government of Italy’s award for one of our initiatives in the agricultural sector, ShareLand Uganda.

Miklah Volunteers Program is for Employment & Business!

We believe this methodology prepares our young people for both employment and business, exposes them to stronger networks and opportunities beyond Miklah Life, and contributes to the overall socio-economic transformation of the youth.

Our former volunteers, for example, Provia and Immaculate, have gone ahead and secured amazing jobs while others like Menya Julius have gone ahead to start new social enterprises and are now leading positive change in their communities. On the launch day of the program, these guys spoke to our new volunteers and inspired them.

Meeting some of these new volunteers and listening to the testimonies from the previous ones, I have to say, this is one of the best initiatives we have ever launched, and I am proud of the little achievements so far!

Thanks, everyone for choosing to volunteer with us. LET US DO IT. Keep it #MiklahLife always.
