The above lady in pictures is called Atuhirwe Carol. Carol was diagnosed with cancer of the throat while still at University and while she was going under treatment at Uganda Cancer Institute, Mulago, another type of cancer called Lung cancer was discovered. She has undergone so many surgery operations and chemotherapy treatment with some few episodes of relief, but no healing. Carol, sometimes, wakes up in so much pain than usual and his condition has worsened over time.
This young woman (25 years) of age has undergone so much pain and suffering as she explains her story on her blog, www.carolsblogonline.wordpress.com. She has been under this suffering for 5 years. Currently, she breathes and eats through tubes and her suffering goes on and on. In some of her posts on her blog, she narrates with hope how she wishes to feel the taste of food some other day, walk out and live like others. Carol has lost so much, but not her smile. Reading her blog and seeing her hope and strength in her everlasting smile will unlock all the hope and faith in everyone.
Recently, a campaign has been started to help Carol receive her complete treatment from USA at only 270 million Uganda shillings. Friends, families and different groups are currently joing the move and i am happy to be part of this well-wishers and friends of this inspiring young Ugandan. Under the hashtag, #SaveCarol, the social media and other sites are creating awareness and calling upon the heart-felt Ugandans to contribute even the little we have towards this cause. In that same aspect and spirit, i am here to call upon the world to be part of us as we all run for her life, The Complete You Project happily joins the race.

On 23rd, all Ugandans, friends and families are expected to have a car wash at Panamera Bar, Opposite Kampala Parents school, Naguru, so as to fundraise more money for the treatment.
